In order to combat the effects of inflation, several states have provided assistance payments to eligible residents.
To be eligible for refunds of $300 to $600, Idaho residents must file their 2021 income tax returns by the same deadline.
The state Tax Commission issuing approximately 75,000 checks per week,
and the money is sent in the order it is received.
Hawaii has been issuing refunds of up to $300 since the beginning of the fall.
By December 31st, 2021 tax returns must be submitted in order to request the refund.
Pennsylvania's Real Estate Tax/Rent Rebate Program,
which offers up to $1,658 in rebates, will have an additional deadline.
Income must not be more than $35,000 to be eligible.
There is still time for thousands of Chicago residents to receive a one-time $500 direct relief payment.
The Chicago Resiliency Fund 2.0 will be able to provide financial aid to up to 25,500 qualified Chicago residents,
thanks to funds set aside by Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the Department of Family and Support Services.
The $14.68 million fund's overall goal is to assist locals who were denied federal assistance in 2020, including the Covid-19 relief funds.
